Simply by using these coloured lamps in place of the standard MR16s (GU5.3) that come with any of our low-voltage fittings, unusual and dramatic effects can be created easily. Rather than painted on the lens, the colour is actually built into the lamp to give higher colour purity. Blue, green and magenta are the most popular colours. All the BLV Popstar MR16 (GU5.3) coloured lamps are manufactured in Germany and have a 4,000 hour life.

With the same pins as a standard dichroic lamp, this Tristar LED lamp is suitable for installation in most Hunza MR16 fittings. This gives the benefit of low operating temperatures, very low power consumption and a long lamp life.

The secret to these new IRC lamps is the Infrared Reflective Coating, giving up to 35% lower energy consumption compared with a standard dichroic lamp of the same brightness. A 35w IRC lamp has a light output equivalent to a 50w standard dichroic lamp and an average lamp life of 4000h.
